Born and raised in Texas, Leslie graduated from the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS at Austin in the film program, and began working her way up in the camera department. She accepted a job in Houston shooting promos, commercials, and documentaries for CBS before moving to Los Angeles to study cinematography and graduate with an MFA at the AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE. Leslie travels across the world to pursue narrative storytelling. This year she received wide acclaim for her work as cinematographer for the family drama, GOING BONGO, the largest international film to shoot in Tanzania. Her domestic network credits include: CBS, MTV, DISC, HIS, A&E, LIFETIME, and PBS. Leslie lives with her two large jungle cats, tends to her vegetable garden, repairs her vintage 1978 pedal start Puch moped, and enjoys the cool breeze and sunshine in LA.
