Luisa Mendoza received her Bachelors of Communications from St. Louis University in 1993. She moved to Texas in May of 1996 to attend the Art Institute of Dallas where she received her Associates Degree in Video Production.
Upon graduation she went to work for AMS Pictures (then Productions) where she developed her skills and honed her craft. She became Senior Director of Photography in 2005 and added Production Lead to her titles in 2008. Her work with AMS won numerous Telly Awards and her first documentary “The Power of Harmony: The Story of the Turtle Creek Chorale” won “Best Documentary” at the USA Film Festival in 2005.
Since May of 2013 she has been in the freelance world continuing to work on TV, commercial and corporate projects. She shoots for networks like HGTV, Animal Planet, Discovery Life and RideTV. Her other clients include Frito Lay, Subway, PepsiCo, Golin Harris, Dick Clark Productions, NFL Films, The Dallas Stars, The Dallas Mavericks , World Ventures, and Mary Kay.
